[CELEBRITY GIST] Lyta blocked my blessings… I’ve achieved much since leaving him, says baby mama
Kemi Ayorinde, Lyta’s baby mama, says she has achieved much since leaving the singer
She spoke of her failed relationship with the 22-year-old artiste in an Instagram question and answer session.
Ayorinde made headlines after claiming Lyta had only spent N40,000 on their kid since he was born months ago.
She had later said that the singer apologised to her after the outburst but said she didn’t regret calling him out.
Asked if he wished the father of her child would change and reunite with her, she said she once did but not anymore.
“I did. I really did but not anymore. He was stopping my blessings, I’ve achieved a lot since I stepped out of our relationship. Many people don’t even know I begged him so we could co-parent and be on cool terms,” she replied.
“But he never agreed for our relationship to end so I had no choice but to let him go.
“He wasn’t giving me the bare minimum of what I was looking for in any shape and form and he was very emotionally abusive too, one of the main reasons I couldn’t stay with him anymore.”
Lyta has since not commented on Kemi’s allegations. The duo welcomed the arrival of Aari, their child, in 2020.
The ‘Monalisa’ crooner signed a record deal with YBNL Nation in 2018 but left in May 2019 after a disagreement with Olamide, the music label owner. In 2020, he joined Marlian Music, a record label owned by Naira Marley .

[CELEBRITY GIST] Linda Ikeji Shades Tiwa Savage
The reason behind Laura Ikeji's message about sidechics getting richer in Nigeria was a shade at Tiwa Savage. Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Laura threw a subtle shade at Tiwa because she's dating CEO of Access Bank (Oga Access), Herbert Onyewumbu Wigwe after he (Herbert) ignored Linda Ikeji.
The information was revealed by a popular Instagram blogger, Cutie_Juls, a few minutes ago. According to the blogger, Linda Ikeji is using her her sister, Laura, to hit back at Tiwa Savage after Oga Access refused to date her (Linda Ikeji).
In a bid to fight for her sister, Laura took to social media yesterday to tell Nigerian wives to get money from their husbands, because sidechicks are getting richer by the day. That statement was a perfect shot aimed for Tiwa Savage.
Now, the Ikeji sisters are in a real bad blood (enmity) situation with Tiwa Savage because of a man's gbola (manhood or penis).
Cutie_Juls revealed:
"Awon women supporting women but Linda is codedly disliking Tiwa and using her town crier sister to do her dirty work.
Poor Lilian Afe thinks Laura is just being a supportive friend without knowing that Laura is just fighting her rich sister’s interest.
"What an entanglement.
No wonder why Laura told Lilian off when she openly supported Tiwa recently during the Tiwa and Seyi’s salon fight.
Lilian didn’t even know Tiwa was the one in charge of Oga Access then.
"Sister Lilian, please it will be in your interest to find out how your one time ATM and family financial problem solver, Oga Access got to know about all your “bad habits” your other runs, your alleged flauntings etc. Make I no talk b4 them go say Cutie wan scatter friendship biko.
"There is no such thing as loyalty in friendship o.. Indeed blood is thicker than water.
"I come in peace but Tiwa sha carries huge grace. I never thought there will be a time where “madam self made” who is also a champion advocate for “women supporting woman” will dislike a fellow woman cuz of gbola.
"Oops Una forgot say .. Oga Jeremi’s [linda’s baby daddy] ex is also Tiwa’s friend? and cuz Oga Access finds Tiwa more coded, he won’t even look at the almighty Linda Ikeji. Chai! Nooo wonder, na double wahala for Tiwa from the Ikeji sisters.
"Any way, you see that Laura’s video I mentioned yesterday, it was because of Tiwa. Abeg, Tiwa is really living the life by kind courtesy of Oga Access’ bank account.. Awon Laura has turned motivational speaker overnight who was indirectly shading Tiwa and telling Oga Access’ wife what she needs to know. Abegi but when Lilian was there she never saw anything wrong with the man spending on Lilian and the truth is, she’s not even doing all this motivational speaker cuz of Lilian but for her sister Linda."

[ENTERTAINMENT] Why I Stopped Acting In Nollywood – Rita Dominic Spills
Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic has opened up about why she stopped acting in Nollywood revealing she was silently banned from Nollywood.
According to the 45-year-old in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, her silent ban from Nollywood which prohibited movie producers from working with her was one of her low moments in life.
Rita stressed that this came at the time she was so bent on making changes for herself noting she never addressed it publicly.
In her words;
“So let me tell you something, I don’t know if I’ve said this publicly. Many years ago, we worked a lot with the marketers and they weren’t used to talking to management, they were used to easy access, direct access to us. So I started working with a manager which is my business partner Mildred because she manages my career as well and it was a challenge.
Actress, Rita Dominic finally talks about marriage| Video
But I was bent on changing things at least for myself cuz I felt like we needed some sort of structure if we wanted to grow – if we wanted this to go further or advance our careers, we needed to start letting them understand that we have management. So obviously, they didn’t like it but they didn’t…
let me put it this way: I think they gave me a silent ban without saying anything. I used to trickle down certain things that they would say, a few of them, and I can understand. You know, people don’t like change sometimes especially when it’s been the same thing for so long and it has worked for you. I didn’t get work for a long time!
Before then, Mildred and I had been talking. She had already started producing and we had toyed with the idea of forming a company together and shooting productions and adverts. So when that (ban) lingered for a while, I said you know what?
Let’s go ahead with this thing – let’s produce content. That’s how I was put on this other trajectory and I started producing. I did my first film, ‘The Meeting’ and I wasn’t going to do the role but we ended up doing it and The Meeting became very successful.
So the (ban) in a way was a blessing. Sometimes, the powers that be (the universe) may be moving you in a direction you don’t want because you want things to happen in a certain way. But it might actually let you achieve the same goal through a different route.”

[ALBUM REVIEW] ‘UY Scuti’ A Bomb Album! Is Olamide Setting A Standard For Veteran Artistes?… My Thoughts
UY SCUTI Album) If any artiste in the Afrobeats industry right now deserves a 10-Year Anniversary celebration, with a mind-blowing 10 albums in 10 years record, it’s most definitely Olamide Baddo.
On The 18th of June 2021, Olamide Released A New Album titled “UY Scuti” | The Review!
Olamide Adedeji has indeed been in the studio the last few months, dedicating all of himself to the crazed passion that made us all fall in love with him in 2010.
Damn! It’s been a decade of immense fan love and streets music for this Afrobeats pioneer.
Despite being one of the least recognized crossover artistes in the country, Olamide has consistently churned out albums, eps, and major singles spread across ten years.
His work rate is so ‘N’golo Kante’ and he’s definitely Africa’s emerging Kanye.
Olamide’s dedication to honing his sound in this album is glaring, it’s a welcome improvement, a sign that CARPE DIEM was indeed the start of a new dawn and a sign that the trajectory has changed from the ‘former local rapper’.
After ten years, at a period when some of the best of his colleagues are hanging their boots and looking into other interests; Olamide drops the atomic bomb that is UY SCUTI on us, a definite billboard charts climber (I PREDICTED IT HERE FIRST).
This is not Baddo’s first rodeo with slow music, some of his massive love tunes over the years have followed similar patterns, but the difference is clear.
This is a mature man who’s clearly mastered the art of serenading and he’s going hard in this one.
Little wonder the album raked almost 10 million views in less than 30 minutes on Audiomack alone.
‘”UY SCUTI” Album by Olamide – The Review
NEED FOR SPEED is a definite tone setter for the album.
“ Hustle gat me high, steady grinding for the dough, destination farther mean more flying I know, … tryna chase my dreams Lagos traffic make it slow ”
Olamide’s deep baritone slowly unveils the album with a assertion that every Nigerian youth today can relate too, especially if you live in Lagos.
The narrative on this joint is the hustle and grind of being a Lagosian, and you can hear Fireboy’s delicious vocals lending beauty to his boss’s sweet intro jam.
JAILER is a carribean-infused Jamaican joint that sees Olamide putting together a masterpiece alongside Jaywilz.
It’s another sweet love jam, and Jaywillz definitely gave you Oxlade vibes on first listen.
Olamide clearly loves calypso as his lead single off the album ROCK which is the third song on the album gives you total goosebumps vibes.
Baddo’s music making process is now more predisposed to Vibes on Lock & Sonically-pleasing lyrical compositions.
The title of the next song on the album JULIE makes you worry on first sight. Baddo don softie?
‘I kept wondering if Olamide don turn lover boy finish ni’. I mean where are all the lambas I was expecting to counter Ope & Dewunmi with at the office brother Olamide?
Julie samples a little of Gyptian & Nickiminaj’s 2010 global smash hit Hold Yuh, so you already know Julie is a certified love story.
ROUGH UP with Laydoe is an impressive blend of her smashing vocals and Baddo’s deep baritone bedroom voice.
Fave’s double collaboration on Olamide’s UY SCUTI album; WANT & PONPON are sultry numbers and all the validation that she needs to solidify her place as the next break out star.
What’s any Baddo album without a nostalgic collaboration with Phyno . Both artiste show off the dexterity in their musicianship, gliding confidently on the slow number, SOMEBODY and making the girl feel like she’s the most loved female in the universe.
CUP OF TEA is the only song on the album that caters to Olamide’s core street fans. He does what he knows how to do best on this track, appropriately sprinkling the right amount of lamba and his signature baritone sultry voice on this record.
It’ll probably be a major TikTok success given its groovy vibe and the occasional jab of Lamba that puts you at ease.
The outro is just outright delicious. Olamide dedicates SO MUCH MORE to the woman, he tries to restore his woman’s self confidence on this joint, encouraging her to wipe her tears and not cry no more.
This is an impeccable outro to the already lovey-dovey project as it touches on an emotional subject that patriarchal Nigeria is unwilling to clear the air on.
Baddo is well known for ushering new artistes to the limelight via his major projects; some of them include Fireboy who was introduced on the YBNL joint MAFIA FAMILY album, Chinko Ekun who was introduced on Olamide’s 2014 STREET OT album, Bad Boy Timz & P.Prime who both enjoyed more successes after their presence on Olamide’s previous CARPE DIEM album, among others.
Alas, Olamide Baddo is charting a new peak in his career trajectory, and he’s making music that catapults artistes to renewed stardom, one level higher, and one Devil better than the last.
To be honest, the vibes on this project is so refined that it gives you some Peaky Blinder feeling. Baddo is the new Tommy Shelby of Afrobeats.
He’s breaking down stereotypes and ensuring that everyone around him eats. Hard work isn’t new to Baddo, and it’s clearly evident in yet another project.
Baddo is targeting the bill board charts on this project, you can feel it from the top notch production, underlying vocals, and the confidence with which he renders his love jams.
His album title UY SCUTI is testament that the African Icon is now more invested in growth and crossing boundaries with his music.
With the release of the UY Scuti project, I hope we’ll finally be able to regard Olamide as the most consistent cross over artiste in Africa.
Another important thing to watch is the local reception to the album. For the most part of Baddo’s 10-year long career, he’s been the biggest artiste in the local space, dishing out ‘premium street’ content to his core fans.
It’s therefore imperative to understand the effect of this new kind of Baddo on his core street fans.
Will they be able to stomach an Olamide album without the loud slangs, mannerisms, and unbeatable lambas?
Or will Olamide lose his core fans to due to Empire’s influence on his career right now?
